Surgical Director

Jeremy qualified from the University of Bristol in 2008. He started work with Eastfield in 2011 where he met and married one of our nurses, Sarah. Jeremy has since completed the BSAVA Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. Not happy with one one certificate, he is persuing another in advanced veterinary orthopaedics. As well as orthopaedics, Jeremy has a keen interest in 'keyhole' surgery. Jeremy has recently rejoined Eastfield as our Surgical Director after a short period of time working for charity. Outside work, Jeremy enjoys mountain biking and keeping up to date with modern treatments.

Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Wendy qualified at Liverpool University in 1993. In 1997 she gained her certificate in veterinary anaesthesia and took the role of resident in anaesthesia at Liverpool. Wendy joined the veterinary team at Eastfield in 2016 after several years in the charity sector. She is currently a Trustee of Woodgreen Animal Shelter in Huntingdon. Wendy has a special interest in anaesthesia and shelter medicine.

Veterinary Surgeon

Malwina qualified from Warsaw University of Life Sciences (in Poland) in 2010. She joined Eastfield Vets in November 2017 as a locum vet, recently becoming a member of the permanent team. Her special interest is ophthalmology. Her spare time is spent at the gym, reading books or travelling.

Veterinary Surgeon

Magda graduated from the Unversity of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Poland) in 2005. She has been with Eastfield Vets since 2010. Her special interest is in small animal medicine and diagnostic imaging (especially ultrasound). In 2013 Magda gained her General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Medicine (GPCert (SAM)). She is also a busy mum to two little cheeky monkeys Antoni and Anna. In her spare time she loves walking in mountains and reading books.


Claire Applewhite BVSc MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Claire qualified from Liverpool University in 2010 and joined Eastfield part-time in September 2017. She has a particular interest in feline medicine, especially geriatric care, and looks forward to helping the practice achieve 'ISFM Cat Friendly Status'. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and training her young horse.

Paula graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1996 and has been with Eastfield Vets since 2001. She now works part-time at the Cleethorpes branch. Her hobbies include walking with her chocolate Labrador 'Wispa'. Paula also has two guinea-pigs and a cat, 'Willow'.

Practice Manager

After a career in school finance, and following several years of part time bookkeeping for Eastfield, Lizzie was asked to become Practice Manager in 2001. She has witnessed the company grow and flourish over this time and is very keen to maintain the high standards that have always been part of the Eastfield ethos. In her spare time, she enjoys walking her Deerhound, Margot, and running two holiday barns at her home in the Wolds.
