Our History

Eastfield Veterinary Clinic was established in 1983 and is housed in converted farm buildings on the outskirts of North Thoresby. In 1996 a branch surgery at 86 Hardy’s Road, Cleethorpes was added.

The Clinic was founded and owned by John Barker and then, from 1993 by Mike and Helen Jeffreson. In 2016 we joined the VetPartners group. Following a period of transition following Mike and Helen’s retirement in 2017, we now have a strong team of very experienced vets, with specialisms in both surgical and medical work, ready to provide excellent veterinary care for your pets.

A team of dedicated veterinary nurses support the vets and experience reception, support and admin staff complete the staffing team.

The practice meets the RCVS standard for small animal practices – a rigorous standard ensuring the staff and facilities meet strict criteria, ie that the practice is well equipped and maintained, Health and Safety standards are met and staff training is up to date. We have always felt that to achieve the standards set out for by the Royal College would give both our clients and staff confidence that we are performing our duties to the highest standard. To that end we have been undertaking this regular rigorous assessment since the mid 1990s. After the latest inspection in 2015, the North Thoresby site has been awarded Hospital standard, which is the highest tier achievable.

The practice is also a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Training Practice for veterinary nurses.

We hope that you find our practice friendly and helpful. We are always striving to improve our services, so please contact the Practice Manager if you have any comments or suggestions.
